Showing up in life isn’t about knowing what to do all of the time (or any of the time, sometimes). It’s simply about showing up. You can be a hot mess, a sh*t show, whatever. And you still show up.
You get out of bed. You go to the bathroom. You put on clothes and eat breakfast. Then you go out into the world, doing the best you’ve got that day.
Showing up isn’t about checking a certain number of things off the to do list or impressing other people. It’s about putting one foot in front of the other, saying yes to the day (even if it’s through gritted teeth and a scowl), and trying again and again, a million and one times. That is showing up. And that will always, always be enough.
